The Procedure:
Soft tissue fillers are injected into the skin. The results are immediate; however, they are temporary.
Patient Considerations:
Only a skilled plastic surgeon can determine the appropriate dosage and amount of injectables to be used. Careful consideration should be taken when considering all injectables. Our plastic surgeons are board-certified and have years of experience in using injectables as a facial refinement option.
Filler options:
Juvederm®/Juvederm Ultra Plus®
As we age our skin reduces production of a naturally hydrating component called hyaluronic acid. Juvederm® is an FDA approved smooth-consistency HA (hyaluronic acid) gel that replaces lost HA to produce volume and help correct and smooth out facial lines and wrinkles. Juvederm® injectable gel can last up to one year with only one treatment.
Juvederm Voluma® XC
Juvederm Voluma® XC is the first FDA approved filler to be used in the cheek area. If you have lost volume in your cheeks and would like to gain your youthful appearance back, then Voluma may be right for you. Voluma can help restore a youthful profile for up to 2 years, with a natural-looking result.
Juvederm Volbella® XC
The newest addition to the Juvederm® family for 2016 and FDA approved is Juvederm Volbella® XC. It is meant to be used in the lips and in perioral lines to increase lip fullness and soften the appearance of lines around the mouth. Juvederm Volbella® XC is formulated with Vycross technology. This technology “blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid which contributes to the gel’s duration.” Allergan first debuted Vycross technology in 2013 which quickly became the leading technology for facial fillers. In clinical studies, at the 90-day mark over 80% of people injected reported greater fullness in their lips and over 96% reported overall satisfaction.
Juvederm Vollure:
Vollure’s formula is primarily used to treat nasolabial folds, which are lines located between your nose and your mouth. This filler corrects deep indentations without restricting any facial movement. Juvederm Vollure® is considered lighter than Voluma, but fuller than Volbella and boasts a perfect balance between the three. In most cases, it lasts up to 2 years, which is longer than many other dermal fillers on the market.
Restylane®
The Restylane® line of Hyaluronic Acid based injectables are used to restore volume and correct facial wrinkles. Your physician will choose the appropriate filler based on the location and severity of the lines and folds to be treated. These fillers last between six months to one year.
Silk: Formatted specifically to give you the perfect pout. Works with your body’s natural acids to smooth the lines around the mouth while plumping your lips for a natural appearance.
Lyft: Now FDA approved for use in the hands to rejuvenate their youthful appearance. Lyft also treats loss of volume in your cheeks or the nasolabial folds giving a subtle effect to enhance your natural facial expressions.
Refyne: Loss of elasticity in the laugh lines on face and in nasolabial folds happen over time. Refyne will correct the volume depletion of moderate lines.
Defyne: Meant to alleviate the deep folds that form on the lower face. Defyne’s unique formula gives the face a natural look.
Kysse: The first hyaluronic acid lip filler with XpressHAn Technology for natural looking volume and Kysse-able softness. This flexible, yet supportive formulation has the ability to integrate with your tissue to become one with your lips and can last up to one year.
The RHA Collection: RHA 2, RHA 3, RHA 4
The latest advancement in Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers, The RHA Collection, consists of three customized fillers that address individual areas of the face. ‘Beauty is dynamic, your filler should be too’ is the slogan for the RHA Collection, the distinction being the ability to adapt to facial movement giving a natural look at rest and in motion. Lasting up to 15 months, these game changing fillers are designed for dynamic movement and mimic the natural HA in your skin.
The RHA Collection is the first FDA approved HA for dynamic wrinkles and folds that appear in areas of the face with repetitive movement. Whether you’re looking to restore volume to your cheeks, fill the folds between your nose and mouth, add fullness to the lips or augment hollow troughs under the eyes, these fillers could be the answer!
Bellafill®
Do you suffer from acne scarring? If so, Bellafill may help your scarring. Bellafill is injected into the scar causing the scar to lift to meet the surrounding skin.
